A fantastic camera R. Dege Pros: picture quality, shutter speed, zoom, impressive, fast in power, a lot of advanced features, etc, etc. The technical specifications and performance of this camera far exceeded any expectations I could expect from a camera pocket.
Cons (All minor): 1) The load requires removing the battery from the camera and inserted into a separate battery charger. I'm used to my old sony camera, where the charges it's own cradle.
2) The power button requires some precision to activate. It is not difficult or uncomfortable to use, but again, I'm comparing to my older sony camera, where a return was quick and easy.
3) The menu system can be daunting for a new user or beginner. Depending on how the camera is so far to change the menu options are presented. Using the camera and reading the manual and help with the process of familiarity.
4) The spin dial (or whatever). I have yet to see what benefit has the dial on the conventional directional pad. It's almost like a double edged sword. On the one hand, it is very useful when you want to quickly flip through photos you've taken with the camera. On the other hand, it becomes a challenge when it comes to change scenes in scene mode or changing the functions in the manual mode.
In general, I love this camera. I bought it just before going on vacation, and continually was surprised by the quality of the photos and the performance of the shutter speed throughout the trip. While traveling on a bus, I was able to take clear pictures of the countryside, while the bus was traveling at 60 mph around.
